Mikey Vaiksar
Mike or Mike V as he is affectionately know - as we cant spell his Nordic viking roots second name - had his first snowboard lesson some 16 years ago at Halifax dry ski slope. Riding occasionally back in the day on dry slope, he properly strapped his board back on 6 years ago at Rossendale dry ski slope and hasn't looked back since.
Riding at Rossendale and a lot at Castleford when it opened he trained for and passed his BASI level 1 in 2007 at Castleford where he first met Ash and the rest of the Snowboard coach crew. His hard work landed him a part time teaching role at Xscape Castleford where he has been teaching every week for the past 3 years.
During this time Mike has earned his stripes and has worked his way up to coaching both advanced riding and running instructor training sessions.
Thanks to this riding dedication and top training from the SBcoach crew Mike flew through his BASI level 2 and is now preparing for the level 3.
Mike helps run the Snowboard Coach courses in the north.

Lyndon Boddey
Lyndon grew up first as a swimmer then as a gymnast competing up to national level. He left school at 18 to study percussion at the Royal Academy of Music in London. At around the same time he discovered snowboarding, riding at Milton Keynes and High Wycombe.
In 2002 he put his music career on hold and trained to become an instructor where Ash took him for his first snowboard course. From there he worked his way through the BASI system and riding throughout Europe and the USA amassing a wealth of experience in both teaching and riding. He took a year out in the middle to do grown up stuff; he taught percussion for Northamptonshire Music Service and also became Rookie National Skydive Champion. Since those early beginnings Lyndon has gone on to gain the highest qualifications possible. Like Ash, he is one of only a handful of people who has gained his full French Equivalence through snowboarding.
Lyndon also trains instructors for The British Association of Snowsport Instructors (BASI) and Snowsport Scotland (SNSC). He winters are spent teaching BASI courses all over Europe and working with Ash on the SBcoach instructor program.
