Pre-Course Training
We are the only UK company who can actually deliver the exams for all the BASI levels. We know exactly what you are tested on as we are the ones that test you. No other company is qualified to do this.
Be aware, many offer "training" but only we are qualified to qualify you!
Level 1 Training
Want a heads up on what's needed in order to pass a Level 1 course and what you personally need to work on in order to get the result you want. Then our Level 1 training day in the UK is perfect for this. You will get a perfect idea of whats included in the riding and teaching elements of the actual BASI level one and what you will be tested on. We will also give you a timescale if needed of when we think you will be ready to take the course and pass.
Level 2 Training
There is a massive step in terms of riding and teaching ability from the Level 1 to the level 2 so don't be caught out. After all you wouldn't go from doing your GCSEs straight to your A levels without a bit of work in between and this is no different.
Join us for our Level 2 training and teaching days in the UK where we will focus on your personal riding and awareness at a higher level and look at teaching scenarios that you can use for the level 2 exams.
Even better if you can join us abroad for a level 2 training week then we can do all this and more and even have a mock assessment to give you a heads up on what you need to work on, in all the terrain you will be tested on during the actual level 2 exam.
Level 3 Training
For those looking at taking the top level course we offer personal Level 3 training in the UK as well as in resort during the winter. This is for those who have a lot of riding and teaching experience and hold the level 2 and are looking at taking the level 3.
We have 100% success rate with our level 3 training and we aim to keep it that way.
New for the 2013 season we will be running a specific level 3 in resort training program which will run alongside our Level 2 program. This will give all Level 3 candidates a totally unique opportunity to shadow high end lessons and riders and act as a mentor which will be invaluable experience for the Level 3 exams. Level 1 Course
The British Association of Snowsport Instructors (BASI) Level 1 is aimed at riders who wish to teach snowboarding in a non mountain environment ie dryslope and the indoor snow slopes. It is also the first stage for anyone wishing to progress onto the BASI level 2 Snowboard instructor course, enabling you to teach abroad in a mountain environment. The BASI level 1 snowboard instructor course is a 5-day course designed to teach competent recreational snowboarders the elements of technical riding and entry level teaching techniques.
Snowboard Coach runs more level 1 snowboard instructor courses than anyone else in the UK. We work closely with BASI and all the indoor centers to provide this entry level snowboard instructor course and have a great reputation in the quality of instructors it produces. Ash and Lyndon personally take all the Level 1 courses featured on the site. This course runs on various dates from April to December. Please enquire to receive a detailed info pack.

Level 2 Course
The BASI Level 2 is aimed at riders who have successfully completed the level 1 course and are looking at taking the next step and working and teaching abroad in the mountain environment. Our unique approach to this next step is a season long (10 week) Level 2 program at our winter base. During this 10 week in resort program you'll shadow lessons, receive proper training by the Snowboard Coach trainers who are all qualified at the highest level attainable through the BASI system. This ensures the best and correct training throughout the program, something unique to snowboard coach. We don't use snowboard instructors from any other governing body or call anyone else in. Why would we when they don't know the how the BASI system works?
This type of course is great fun, and the new way we are doing it gives every candidate more chance to focus on what's need for the level 2 from a much earlier date and dedicates all the time in resort to training for it. Whilst attending the 10 week course you are based for 100% of the time in a snowsport environment. Previous course students have found that training in such an environment, and living and 'working' with other riders creates a unique atmosphere and develops the focus and motivation required of this course. It's also recognised that, 10 weeks spent in the unique and professional environment of the course, helps to develop personal confidence, independence and individuality.

Refreshers & Resits
Did a Level 1 course but need to nail the technical or teaching element and been told you need to "Resit" this so it can be re-examined, then we can help. We offer private and group re-sits all over the UK.
If you are already an instructor you will need to refresh you're qualification every 3 years. We can refresh ANY level of rider. Again this can be private of group depending on our numbers.

Shadowing
Part of being a good instructor is to shadow lessons and build your knowledge. Not only when you are just starting out but as you progress and having the ability to teach a higher standard of rider is crucial.
Snowboard Coach offers a shadowing option on any of our courses and lessons in the UK for a small fee of £50 a day. You will be involved in the day from the start and not just sitting in the background. You will have feedback on you're riding as well as learning how to deliver lessons and sessions. These shadowing days will make you way more prepared for future exams and courses.
