Day 1 – We spend the first part of the day looking at the fundamentals of snowboarding and how they apply to our own riding. We then use these fundamentals and apply them to freestyle. In the afternoon you will be taken through a series of basic progressions that will give course candidates the knowledge on how to safely prepare prospective freestyle clients to progress from flat land/butters/jibs through to ollies and nollies. An evening lecture will take place after the session.

Day 2 – The morning is spent further developing course candidates knowledge by being taken through progressions for small kickers and flat bars/boxes. Again the idea is that course candidates learn from the trainer's delivery in preparation for delivering there own assessed progressive freestyle session. The afternoon session is then used for course candidates to prepare this session themselves with the help of the trainer who will also deliver a small lecture that will help with lesson planning. Time will be allocated on slope for candidates to prepare demonstrations and practice delivery.

Day 3 – The morning session will be an assessed lesson. Course candidates will deliver their planned progression sessions to the rest of the group and will receive feedback from the trainer and peers. These sessions may roll into the afternoon. The time left at the end of the day will be spent on the hill riding and ironing out any problems and working on developing candidates ideas of delivering a freestyle session. We then have a course debrief at the end of the day.

This is an idea of an itinerary and may change subject to snow conditions (for the mountain) and timings/content depending on the level of the group.
