For 2011 all our mountain Instructor courses will be run in Bansko in Bulgaria - one of the best resorts in Eastern Europe. It also has the benefit of being out of the Euro (still has its own currency) so still remains great value for money to live, drink and eat in resort. It is even cheaper outside the town with a beer costing about 50 pence.

BASI or the British Association of Snowsport Instructors is one of only 4 worldwide governing bodies (out of about 15) that actually adhere strictly to the teaching and riding standards laid down by the worldwide governing body known as the ISIA. That is why they are one of the most respected organisations in snowsports. That is also why the qualification is accepted worldwide. Its not easy and not to be taken lightly.

Here are the confirmed dates for next seasons training program. Please note the Level 1 course will take place in the UK during the months April to November 2010.

Until November 2010, places for the level 2 are reserved for people taking the 10 week Level 2 snowboard Instructor program. Course only places (if we have any left) will not be available until this date.

Coming into our 4th season of delivering this unique type of course we are constantly developing the way we run it so that you get the most out of it. We are also keeping it as cheap as possible so that becoming an instructor isn’t going to cost you a small fortune.

As far as we know we are the cheapest out there and we are the only company that can actually do the training and assessment ourselves….we don’t use anyone else as we don’t have to.

Do the BASI 1 Snowboard Course in the UK for as little as £425

Then add the 10 week in resort program from as little as £3,695

Extension option - stay for 3 months -until 31 March for £199

Again this season we will be offering the complete 10 week snowboard Instructor course or Level 2 Gap course package for those looking at getting into teaching snowboarding on a mountain. For 2011 this will be our 4th season of delivering this unique type of 10 week snowboard instructor course and we are constantly developing the way we run it so that you get the most out of it. We are also keeping it as cheap as possible so that becoming a snowboard instructor isn’t going to cost you a small fortune. We also introduced an extended stay option where you can chill until the the end of March for only an extra £199......everybody did!

Our unique approach is to run the BASI level 1 snowboard instructor course in the UK prior to coming out with us in the winter. It worked perfect last season as it really focused everyone on to what is needed to become a snowboard instructor. It also gives you a full 10 weeks in resort to get the riding up to and beyond the BASI level 2 standard. This worked for 90% of the candidates last season. A great result for them and for us.

We have teamed up with the indoor snow centers to offer the BASI Level 1 Snowboard Instructor Course at Milton Keynes, The Hemel Snow Center, and Tamworth Snowdome.

Doing it this way, we all get to meet each other prior to the winter. You also get a great heads up on your riding and teaching allowing you to get more practice in prior to the winter. You also STILL get 10 weeks in resort - so its really an 11 week program!

Then during the 10 weeks in resort you'll shadow lessons, receive proper training by BASI Trainer and Snowboard Coach's own Ash Newnes and the other Snowboard Coach trainers who are all qualified at the highest level attainable through the BASI system. This ensures the best and correct training THROUGHOUT the program, something unique to snowboard coach. We don't use snowboard instructors from any other governing body. Why would we when they don't know the how the BASI system works?

This type of course is great fun, and the new way we are doing it gives every candidate more chance to focus on what's need for the level 2 from a much earlier date and dedicates all the time in resort to training for it. Whilst attending the 10 week course you are based for 100% of the time in a snowsport environment. The intention is for everyone to be immersed in the culture and way of life of a snowsport instructor and to be totally focused on the outcome.

Previous course students have found that training in such an environment, and living and 'working' with fellow students creates a unique atmosphere and develops the focus and motivation required of this course. It's also recognised that, 10 weeks spent in the unique approach and professional environment of the course, helps to develop personal confidence, independence and individuality.

Our package price is the cheapest out there. Our price includes all accommodation for the 10 weeks, lift pass, all training and course fees, school shadowing experience.

But by far the best thing about this course in Bansko is it is so cheap to live and you’re not spending 5 euros a beer like in many other European resorts. In fact you'll spend about £2 at the most expensive bar in town....which we don't go to.....we go to the ones charging 60p.
